Hospital Compare is a consumer-oriented website that provides information on how well hospitals provide recommended care to their patients. On this site, a consumer can see the recommended care that an adult should get if they are treated for a heart attack, heart failure, have pneumonia or are having surgery. This website also provides information on a patient's perspective or satisfaction with their hospital care.

This website was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), along with the Hospital Alliance (HQA). The Hospital Compare website is updated on a quarterly basis.
